Ponderings (March 2006) - “UNIQUE”

According to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary …

Unique is “being the only one; being without a like or equal; distinctively characteristic”

Sharing my thoughts …

We’ve all heard that no two snowflakes are alike.  Isn’t that incredible?!  Even more incredible is that no two people are alike.  That fact always leaves me with a feeling of awe, gratitude, and frankly, a tremendous sense of responsibility!!   After all, if I’m the only ME, then don’t I have a responsibility to be the best “me” possible?   And to be my best “me”, wouldn’t it make sense that I would accept, honor and utilize my uniqueness?  Going a step further, wouldn't I honor what makes YOU unique as well?  Each of us has different experiences, talents, skills, values and passions.  Let's celebrate our uniqueness!

Questions to ponder …

  1. What is your uniqueness?
  2. What are you passionate about?
  3. What are your key talents and skills?
  4. What do you do better than most people?
  5. What do people recognize and remember about you?
  6. How are you developing and empowering your uniqueness?
  7. How are you sharing your uniqueness with the world?
  8. What is the uniqueness of each key person in your life?
  9. How are you encouraging others to claim and express their uniqueness?
  10. How are you appreciating and celebrating your own and others' uniqueness?
