Ponderings (December 2008) - “ORGANIZE”

According to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary …

Organize is “to cause to develop an organic structure; to form into a coherent unity or functioning whole; integrate; to arrange by systematic planning and united effort"

Sharing my thoughts …

Every December I have a strong urge to get stuff cleaned up and organized for the new year.  How about you?  Could your home or office be more organized?  What about your schedule?   Could it be cleaned up and organized more effectively, allowing you time to do the things you really want to do?  The great thing about organizing is that even if organizing is not your thing, there’s help available to make the job easier.  There are products designed to organize your physical space and products designed to organize your time.  There are even professional organizers you can hire to organize for you.  So what’s stopping you?  I promise, you will feel more productive and settled after the job is done.  So go ahead, get organized!

Questions to ponder …

  1. How do you feel when your work space is organized?
  2. How do you feel when your work space is disorganized?
  3. What do you see as the key benefits to getting organized?
  4. If you don’t enjoy organizing; what can you do to get organized?
  5. What is your main obstacle to getting organized?  How can you address this?
  6. What area of your life is screaming for organization?  We’ll call this “Project O”.
  7. What steps will you take within the next 2 to 4 weeks to organize “Project O”?
  8. If you enjoy organizing, how can you utilize and share this talent more effectively?
